Burning Questions from 5.3
Good episode last night! I think I like the ones that focus on the Still-Islanders better than the ones that focus on the Oceanic 6.
Burning question for me after this ep: Remember the episode where Richard DOES go visit the young Locke, and he gives him a number of items and tells him to choose one? WHAT DID LOCKE CHOOSE? I'm sure the compass was in the mix, but did Locke pick it? I can't remember, and I'm too lazy to go research it. Someone help me out.
Other questions:
- Is Farraday's mother the lady who told Ben he only had a few hours at the end of ep 5.2? Have to assume so.
- What's the connection between the pint-sized, gun-toting blonde Other back in 1954 and the crazy bedridden girl that Farraday messed with? 'Cause that's clearly who she was reminding Daniel of.
- Why does Penny look so glum all the time? Is that what having former-Other Charles Widmore for a father will do to you, or is she just tired of Desmond calling her "brother" all the time?
- And finally, how cute is little Charlie? Awww

The record has stopped skipping: 5.8, "LaFleur"
5.8: LaFleur - Some thoughts
More 5.7
Meh. Episode 5.7, "The Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham"
Lost EP 5.6 "316" is there a pregnant lady on the plane?
Movable Type 4.1

Loved the episode Jughead. Lots of new twists and turns. Who is Theresa Spencer? What did Faraday do to her? Does it have something to do with Charlotte?
I was wondering if that gun-toting blonde might be Farraday's mother. The year was 1954, so I don't see how she could be connected to the woman in the bed whose care was being financed by Widmore.
Dommerdog, that is brill! I bet she totally is Farraday's mother! I never thought of that.
Also, update: Someone at my work looked up the Locke flashbacks for me. Richard DID offer Locke the compass with the instructions "which of these items is yours?" but Locke didn't pick the compass -- he picked the knife.
Q. Is Farraday's mother the lady who told Ben he only had a few hours at the end of ep 5.2? Have to assume so.
A. Yes. Her name is Eloise Hawking. Faraday named his rat Eloise. Also, she's in Los Angeles, which is where Charles Widmore sent Desmond when he asked where Faraday's mother was, which is where Mrs. Hawking spoke with Ben Linus while she was wearing that hood and writing on the chalkboard.
Q. What's the connection between the pint-sized, gun-toting blonde Other back in 1954 and the crazy bedridden girl that Farraday messed with? 'Cause that's clearly who she was reminding Daniel of.
I don't think there is a connection; I think Daniel knew that woman was his mother which is why she reminded him "of someone". Also, they're both British (Mrs. Hawking and the girl, whose name is -- final clue -- ELLIE, short for Eloise!).
Q. Why does Penny look so glum all the time? Is that what having former-Other Charles Widmore for a father will do to you, or is she just tired of Desmond calling her "brother" all the time?
lol
Q. And finally, how cute is little Charlie? Awww
A. Totally cute. I think he's probably named after Charlie Pace, not Charles Widmore.
:D :D :D Love your blog!
Remember when Richard looked a little sullen when Locke picked the knife? Maybe it wasn't because he was sad that Locke made the wrong choice. Maybe it was that he knew Locke made the RIGHT choice. That made Richard's world fall apart inside.
and I bet that Widmore is the father of Farraday, that he got together with the gun totting women.
