Alternate endings revealed
They filmed three endings for the season 4 finale. I hear that they often film multiple useless scenes during episode shoots to prevent leaked plot information. Here are the other two endings...
The thing I really disliked about the finale was the bad green screen/chroma key job during the Oceanic 6's time on the first raft. The shot with Jack stuck out like a sore thumb. Maybe I noticed it cause I'm in TV.
Anybody else notice this?
In case you missed what Freckles heard on the phone during her dream sequence I've attached a link below. It's the phone call audio that aired plus the reversed edition of the audio. BTW how sexy was that seen of Kate jumping out of bed and grabbing a gun? MMM MMM GOOD.
You Know What To Do Here
My favorite part of the finale is Juliet sitting on the beach drinking Dharma Rum!
The season 4 finale ("There's No Place Like Home" - parts 2 & 3) was AWESOME!!! We got answers to some of the questions that were bothering us:
1) Will Desmond and Penny ever see each other again?
2) Who's in that coffin (from the season 3 finale)?
3) How'd Ben teleport to the desert?
4) How'd the Oceanic 6 come to be?
5) Will Michael ever die?
Did I miss any?
Is it a new alternate reality game getting started, or is it an evil ploy to get LOST fans registered for spam mail? In the last commercial-break of this season's LOST finale, we were exposed to a short ad for Octagon Global Recruiting (http://octagonglobalrecruiting.com). Visiting the website will get you a re-play of the commercial and a text-field to submit your e-mail address. I've yet to receive any type of confirmation email 30-minutes after I submitted my address.

Keamy, Playing This Psycho Can Be A Blast
Sounds like the cold-blooded mercenary's days are numbered (no pun intended).
His interview in USA Today has a couple of spoilers you might enjoy. Consider it a tease.
TV Guide's interview with Michael Emerson (TV's LOST's Ben) promises a "dark, violent" finale tomorrow night.
When asked about Ben's and Locke's mothers both being named Emily, Michael says, "they don't make those kinds of accidents. The guys who write Lost are very careful about names."
HMMMMM.
Read part one of the interview here.

Hanso and Paik Connected?
Yunjin Kim better known as Sun confirms her father's company Paik and Hanso are connected in the following interview with the L.A. Times.

Who Knew?
Can you believe it? When we first met Ben he was only scheduled to make a guest appearance on Lost for three episodes. Then we learned to hate the character so much they had to write him into the show on a permanent basis. Now most of us like the character so much we almost cheer for the guy. Can't imagine Lost without Ben can you?
Can't wait for the finale.

Christian is dead!
I was watching the season finale of Desperate Housewives (DH) last night when I realized that I've failed to blog after episode 4.11, and almost failed to do so after this past week's episode 4.12, "There's No Place Like Home". BTW, if you didn't see the DH finale last night, it totally ripped off the "flash-forward" thing that LOST has going...
In 4.12 we get a lot of answers. One of which has been a splinter in my brain, "Is Jack's father alive in the future?" It was a sigh of relief to see the eulogy that Jack gave to put that question to rest...for now. The Oceanic 6 are solidly defined, and we find out what their lies are about.

Snoooooozefest!
Wait, was it just me, or was last night's ep a complete snoozer?
I got nothing out of.
Yeah, yeah, yeah we know about Claire being Jack's sister. Big whoop.
We know about the Orchid (especially if you read this blog).
We know Hurley got the Camaro, we've seen it before.
AND PLEASE, can the slow montages with the sad piano music please stop... FOREVER!?!
I did laugh at the Jesus line from Hurley's mom... THAT was fantastic.
All in all, it felt like the beginning of an extra long episode with a whole bunch of set-up in the first hour and then... nothing.

And Then There Were Six...

When Locke returns from the cabin he tells Hugo and Ben the only way to save the island is to move it!
How the hell do you move an island?
Couple of dollies and a U-Haul?
Maybe they could get FedEx to overnight some of these things.

Question
Anybody else think Locke's mother was hit by the driver of the car intentionally?
What's happened to Lost, more specifically what's happened to the writing. Why do the producers feel like they need to dumb it down? "Hey doc, wasn't it weird when we got that phone call about your body washing ashore?"
Lost has such a dedicated audience, dare I say a "cult" following that puts a microscope on every nuance of the show. Yes, we all remember the doc's body washing ashore in a previous episode.
C'mon, there's a better way to write this thing.
I can forgive a lot of things, suspend disbelief and play along...just can't excuse this...is it just me?

Mind Over Matter
I'm beginning to believe on the island "mind over matter" is an explanation for:
Locke's ability to walk, the African-American woman's cure for cancer, Claire surviving the attack on her bungalow, etc. Don't have a lot of time to explain my theory, Lost will start soon, but it's something to chew on. (to be continued, later)

Jealousy killed the cat
The episode "Something Nice Back Home" revealed that Jack and Kate eventually end up with each other...for a short time at least. Jack finds out that Kate is still doing "favors" for Sawyer and messes up things a bit with his jealousy. How is Kate able to talk to the islanders via a standard wireless phone?
Saw some video of this week's Lost episode as well as read a synopsis. Wow. The plot thickens. Looks like it might be a jaw-dropping episode. Can't give you too many details...Doug doesn't encourage it.

Jack's scar is there....
There was some discussion that viewers didn't see the Jack's appendix-removal scar during shower scene in last week's episode. This lead some to believe it never happened (the shower scene... or the operation).
Henry dug up this screen-grad, and I enhanced it...
...the scar is there! The theories can stop now.

After the roller coaster thrills of last week's episode, I thought "Something Nice Back Home" was a bit of a slow-down.
Before I delve too far into the plot and details of last night, I have a new theory: dead people on (and off) the island are all the same person/thing. Could it be possible that every time someone sees a dead person (like Jack's dad, Charlie and next week's Jacob) they are actually seeing someone or something (smoke monster) that projects an image of the dead person.
Maybe there is technology on the island that allows a person to look like someone else OR maybe the smoke monster is able to look like a person. Remember when Mr. Eko looked into the smoke monster and saw all his own memories and thoughts, including images of his brother? Could smoke monster be capable of more? Was the smoke detector's failure in Jack's office a hint that smoke monster was there? It's all nano-bots, I think.
ANYWAY, here's what I was left with last night:
• The promos for the show drive me CRAZY! "The island claims one of the survivors as its own." What? Was that Claire? What does that mean? Is she dead?
• I don't think we've ever travelled past the point in time when Jack and Kate meet at the airport at the end of season #3. Time jumps on the show seem to occur in the space prior to that and after the 6 are off the island.
• Sawyer may be alive in the future. Kate seems to be talking to him on the phone.
• Jack's addictive behavior seems to be aided by jealousy of Sawyer.
• Are we finally convinced Jack and Claire are step-siblings?
• Why did the island let Jack get sick?
• Jack is an irresponsible pill taker! Never mix meds with alcohol!
• Dan is still irritating. Jin, please break his fingers like you promised Charlotte.
• Jack's proposal to Kate was a nice moment.
• Jack was reading Alice in Wonderland to Aaron. Is this a clue?
• Hurley tells Jack in the future that they are already dead. HMMMM.
• Miles can see dead people. Or, at least, he can see the past. Is Miles a time-shifter like Desmond?
• When Juliette told Kate about Jack kissing her, I almost punched the TV. But then I realized her intentions were good. This proves my theory: Juliette's a blabber mouth, don't tell her anything (or kiss her).
• I feel the most sorry for Hurley. He needs something good to happen to him.
• Sawyer is standing up for everyone!
• We might now have a clue how Sun gets off the island (Jin's threat to Charlotte).
• Russo and Carl are really, really, really dead. In-the-ground dead.
• Next week's promo finally shows us Jacob. Sigh. Why show him in the promo? He DOES look like Eric Stoltz in "Mask." REMEMBER: Jacob is dead. What we see is really just smoke monster pretending to look like Jacob. That's what I think.
• Change your batteries in your smoke detectors! It's saves lives, sanity and a fortune in prescription medication costs.
