Lost's love dodecahedron gets even more complicated
In episode 4.6 we find out who "The Other Woman" is, Juliet. She seems to get involved with men who have more than one woman in mind. Her late-husband was cheating on her, Jack is in love with Kate, Goodwyn was a married man...hrm, I wonder who Ben's "Other Woman" could be?
I can't remember what happened to Ben's old Dharma girlfriend (remember his little blonde childhood girlfriend?), but it must have been tragic. Ben's possessive feelings for Juliet are quite disturbing because we know he'd probably kill for her, even when he knows she'll never love him.
Does Juliet hint that Ben has the power to foretell the future? "You knew this was going to happen!," she says when discovering Goodwin's decaying corpse. Another semi-reveal of Ben's magical powers is when we see (or don't see) Harper (Goodwin’s wife) mysteriously disappear right in front of Juliet and Jack. Can we assume that at that point Harper is a ghost or supernatural being of some sort? Ben either has the ability to make these apparitions appear and/or communicate with them.
I never thought we'd find out who Ben's arch nemesis is until much later, but alas he was revealed as Bradford Mead...I mean Charles Widmore (Penny's Dad). Remember that he was the one buying up the Blackrock items at the auction in last week's episode. In the revealing "Red Sox" video, we see Mr.Widmore killing a spy that was working for Ben...but who was the spy that shot the video? I think we all know who that person is going to be revealed as...
This episode also reminded us that Ben is probably not the overlord of the island, and is taking orders from someone else (Jacob?). At the dinner party for two, we hear Juliet voicing her concerns about some kidnapped children. Ben replies stating that the children are on "the list", and that they know better than to question the names on that list.
Is it just me, or is this whole season starting to revolve around Ben?
