I've got a theory
(Buffy fans will now be singing that song...)
So, I'm thinking, if Rachel really is Persephone, and this game really is going to be in three "acts," it could get interesting. Because first she was talking to us via the Hanso site, but they shut that down, so she had to get a step closer to us with the videos and direct-to-us blogging. So if they shut THAT down at some point, maybe act 3 will be phone calls and more "live" interaction?
That would be cool. Am I crazy?

as long as she doesnt jump the shark on jimmy kimmel
I'm actually surprised they haven't done this yet. I put DJ Dan on my MSN figuring he would eventually try and IM people.
At some point there has to be something more. Either IMs, emails or phone calls. Most of the good ARGs tend to do that.
That would be cool. Am I crazy?
Well, given that Rachel clearly is the "Amy Jensen" from the ARG casting call, and given that the casting call says "THE ACTRESS WOULD NEED TO BE AVAILABLE FOR VARIOUS PERSONAL APPEARANCES FROM JULY THROUGH SEPTEMBER" then I would say you're not crazy.
could William be this guy from the Jeep Youtube video on this link:

I heard that some people were talking to some of the guys from the ROT site on AIM... I thought by now we'd have to meet some guy with a red corsage and get a package or something... only time will tell I suppose... oh and 1000??
Ellen: Re: 1000 - Very very close!
Interesting theory, Ellen. I too have a theory that'd I'd like to throw out.
According to what Rachel Blake has located information about Alvar's granddad, Magnus Hanso sold his Victorian era shipping conglomerate in 1882. However, it doesn't state that Magnus gave up his captain position within the company itself after it was sold. My theory is that Magnus continued working as a ship's captain for the trade group he sold his ships to and, in 1883, was shipping slaves, gold mining equipment and perhaps some kind of contraband that is today quite rare. They were sailing from Nigeria, (?)Africa through the South Pacific when they were unexpectedly caught up in the cataclysmic Krakatoa volcano eruption that caused tsunamis and weather changes across the globe for the next year and affected the seasons for a few years beyond that.
Magnus died when a tsunami caught the Black Rock and slammed it deep inland upon the island we now find out Losties on today. His surviving crew (there had to be survivors) buried him, marked his grave and found their way back to the sea.
Mittlewerk is trying to trace that contraband by trying to find the island where Magnus is buried. That is what he was doing in the archives-perhaps searching for logs from the Black Rock and maps showing the shipping lanes in which the frigate traveled.
I suspect that there will be more personal appeals by Rachel as you state Ellen. I also expect to have the game eventually make its way back to the original Hanso website, which will reopen. Along the way I just bet you that Persephone will come back to help out with more clues-- and that eventually someone will try to bring this whole thing to the attention of the United Nations and bring the Hanso Foundation down.
Last, I think we will probably find out who Persephone really is right before the first episode of season 3.
Just my opinion, of course. :-)
Nice theory, Beverly. By the way...there's a new video, says Rachel, in which she does "something stupid." Somewhere out there...check her blog. Working on it now.
