I've been thinking about what we might learn next season in the LOST mythology and here as some thoughts...
The "Island" has been bringing down airplanes and sinking ships like the Bermuda Triangle.
Another plane will be brought down as a result of Locke allowing the countdown to go to Egypt.
And some obvious thoughts: Jack will become the new chief surgeon on Isla Strangia General Hospital.
Sawyer, Michael and Kate become new foot soldiers in the army of The Others.
Eventually Sawyer and Kate find a way to not become like The Others, but Michael is too invested in protecting Walt to do so.
When the other plane crashes, the first season cast remnants will go to that crashsite.
Michael will be one of the people to capture new children for The Others.
Other parties are starting to close in on Isla Strangia including the US Navy and Desmond's ex's resources, but that's for season four to come.
