Persephone's message unscrambled

Reader Zzedar points out a solution to Persephone's scrambled message:

The "HAS WIN HOST PC IN NIL URGE" has been definitively solved on the Lost boards as "WHO IS RUNNING THIS PLACE."

Sounds reasonable to me. Any thoughts on the tie-in to the "8, not 1 and 6" part?

I think the tie-in is that on May 8, the website (THF.org) was updated with the "missing Alvar Hanso" information. Doesn't that make the most sense?

Ya think the "8" may be the infinity symbol used by Dharma?

not sure. 1 could be for Hanso himself, if you count in the Board of Directors Liddy Wales would be #6 and Dick Cheever would be #8.

Reading it now, it's completely stupid, but ya never know in this world...

When the original Persephone message posted, many people mistook the "1" for a "6". From what I've read, in order to correctly interpret the original coded message, you had to transpose vowels and numbers (this was actually pretty complex) ie.

Therefore Persephone, who obviously monitors various websites regarding this ARG, (with the updated message) was letting folks know that she didn't mean 1 or 6 in her message and that those who guessed "8" were correct:

Who is running this place? 8 not 1 and 6.

Then on the 8th of May she updated the Hanso Foundation website with the information regarding Alvar Hanso's missing status since 2002.
