Looking at each or the job on Hanso Careers in turn there are certain letters which are in light grey rather than black:

Also according to the RSS feed Jacob Vanderfield has been updated. If you go to his page the password text box is now active!

The job listings contain some letters that are of a slightly different colour when highlighted.

Anagramed, they spell "Inmate Asylum."

Ok, worked it out. If you go to Jacob's profile and use login 'shy' and password from anagram of grey letters from Hanso Careers - Check it out!!!

I was looking at the new hanso site, and look at the source for the jobs - the value for the options are like this

The first few numbers are some of the numbers of the button... I don't know what the others are... but they are too specific to be nothing.

Remember when persephone's clue had an S switched out with a G in order to give us the mousehole clue? What if she did this again with the letters? If the I is meant to be an L, then the letters spell MENTAL ASYLUM!

I can't get Jacob's to work. Is that EXACTLY how you do it??

FYI, it doesn't matter what the login name is, actually, it works if you don't include one at all.

Snake - It is under the job descriptions -- highlight the text with your mouse and you'll see it.

Nick - In terms of those numbers, I don't think they mean anything in relation to LOST. The reason I say this is that they are the same numbers as are used on the Monster.com site (if you look at the source code) for those exact same job categories.

Barry - I think it is very doubtful that Paik-Heavy.com (not to be confused with PaikHeavyIndustries.com) is an official in-game site. I say this not only because of the look of the site, but because if you look at the whois data the domain was registered on May 4, *after* the game had started. To me it definitely looks like a fan site (and especially since one of the links is to an eBay auction for Bad Twin).

Sorry about the shy thing that was irrelevent, anything (or nothing) in the login box for Jacob doesn't matter its the password inmate asylum that causes things

I used the password on the board of directors -- inmate asylum and found out about Peck and Vander-guy getting arrested. Is all this just gossip interest or have any real value in the game?

Ok, so... do I have to go through the whole thing again to get the vanderfield bio to work? I went there, and it lets me type into the login feild, but not the password one.

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but I (along with many of the rest of you) was having a few issues getting things to work (Jacob's profile, Hugh's booty-call movie, etc.) I realized that my bookmark was still for http://thehansofoundation.org. (No www.) So I tried the (relatively) newer www.thehansofoundation.org,and boo-yah, everything works now. So again, not sure if it's helpful, but that did it for me (just remember to re-do the whole "breakingstrain" thing again at the newsletter sign up to make sure you are logged in.)

The assistant to Mittelwerk on the Careers site requires the applicant to have extensive knowledge of Lacanian psychology. I've done a bunch of reading up on this and it blew me away. The entire show and game are based on it.

The basics of Lacan's paradigm: That a child's first understand of self is through "Mirror-image". Actually looking at oneself to see that you are an "Other." That early in development it is necessary for the father (or symbolic father) to articulate the "Big Other" that is, to step in and define what is acceptible to desire and what is not. ( In lacan's view, it's total affection from mother) The subject is then castrated ( metaphorically, of course) and can then procede through life. But neurotic people can't accept this and thus feel throughout life that they've "lost the real" object of their affection. In fact, they are "defined by what they percieve they have lost."

i have some info that will blow you all away, I know for a fact that there are two bloggers working for abc spreading various rumours about lost and releasing info to fans about the hanso site, and here is the real kick in the teeth, i know exactly who you are, and if you dont announce yourselves as working for abc within the next two weeks i will give your email adresses to every blogger i can find, you will be plagued with lost questions and you know as well as i do that some ambitious gamer will find your phone number and adress, all this in two weeks time if you dont identify your self by simply stating "i work with abc". as a note to gamers i plead with you to spread this message to other sites, thare are more of them out their, one for every chatroom. Two Weeks
